The owner, Sumito Yokoi, has a tremendous smile, and was born and raised here in Ooyama, Ginowan City. He left the corporate world after many years and fulfilled his dream of opening a coffee stand. The interior contains spacious seating. The space exudes nostalgia. "I am infatuated with the turn of the 20th century, so I have setup neon signs like one would see at the circus and at travelling amusement parks, as well as fantastic old objets d'art. The signboard was made by hand, while the décor was imported; it was a really fun time preparing the shop for opening," he said.
The carefully constructed interior results in a pleasant space.
Yokoi-san says he is still obsessed with amusement parks. The carousel horse inside the premises was taken from the merry-go-round of an actual amusement park in America. The horse was made by artisans around 1915, and this type of wooden horse is said to have many fans around the world. The prancing shape of the horse only gets more unique with the passage of time.
